GLENDALE, Ariz (KMOX) - It was a wild night for St. Louis Blues forward Pavel Buchnevich as he not only scored his first goal for his new team, but also was ejected from the game for head butting an opponent.

He may be facing a suspension after receiving a match penalty for his actions against Coyotes’ Lawson Crouse, who was also given a penalty for cross-checking on the incident. It happened about 19 minutes into the game on Monday night, which ended in a 7-4 victory for St. Louis.
You can see the head butt in the video above, but here's the positive highlight for Buchnevich – his goal to tie the game at 1-1:
The 26-year-old was acquired via trade with the New York Rangers in July, in exchange for forward Sammy Blais and a 2nd round pick in 2022.
After the game, Blues head coach Craig Berube was ready to make a comment about the play.
“I’ve got to look at it,” Berube says. “I honestly haven’t looked at it yet. It is what it is. I’ve got to look at it. I don’t really have a comment on it right now.”
This is Buchnevich's second offense, as last season he was suspended one game for a cross-check to the face of Washington Capitals' Anthony Mantha:
