
ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - The St. Louis Blues have signed veteran forward Brandon Saad to a five-year deal worth $22.5 million.
A player many Blues fans known well, he's is a two-time Stanley Cup Champion with the Chicago Blackhawks and scored 15 goals in 44 games with Colorado last year.
Overall, Saad has made 632 career NHL regular-season appearances, including stints with Chicago, Columbus and Colorado, collecting 371 points (184 goals, 187 assists) and 120 penalty minutes. Saad has also played in 91 career postseason games, tallying 50 points (25 goals, 25 assists) and 30 penalty minutes.
He's scored at least 20 goals in each of the last seven seasons.
The 28-year-old was originally drafted in the second round, No. 43 overall, of the 2011 NHL Draft.
