Blues face Avalanche in Stanley Cup Playoffs starting Monday

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - The NHL has released the game dates and time for the First Round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Games will begin this Saturday, but the St. Louis Blues first game won't be played until Monday night.

Game 1 will be played in Denver against the Colorado Avalanche at 9 p.m. CT on Monday. Colorado wrapped up the regular season on Thursday night with a win to clinch the No. 1 seed in the West Division and won Presidents’ Trophy for the best record in the NHL. The Blues clinched the No. 4 seed in the West.

St. Louis was 3-5-0 against Colorado this season, being outscored 21-26 in those eight games.

The Blues games for the First Round will be:

Monday, 9 p.m. CT - away
Wednesday, 9:30 p.m. CT - away
Friday, 8:10 p.m. CT - home
Sunday, TBD - home
(if necessary) Tuesday, May 25, TBD - away
(if necessary) Thursday, May 27, TBD - home
(if necessary) Saturday, May 29, TBD - away

The Blues announced that 5,000 fans will be allowed into Enterprise Center for the First Round games.
