ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - The National Hockey League and Fanatics released the Winter Classic jerseys the St. Louis Blues will wear when they play the Chicago Blackhawks at Wrigley Field next month.
The Blues say their Winter Classic jersey pays homage to the city's hockey heritage.
Among the notable features of the jersey is the sweater's primary wordmark represents the first time in team history that a blue note is not the principal design element appearing on the chest.
The Blues say the font styling and numbers are inspired by an unworn prototype Blues uniform from 1966, and the jersey also includes a newly designed vintage-style “Blue Note” on the shoulder.
The Blues’ Winter Classic jerseys are available for purchase now at STLAuthentics.com, and 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Wednesday at the STL Authentics Team Store at Enterprise Center.
The Blues says additional NHL Winter Classic merchandise, including winter hats, outerwear and more, will also be available beginning Wednesday with more items launching in the lead up to the game.
The Winter Classic is set for Dec. 31 , 2024. It will mark the third Blues have participated in the Winter Classic, and the second time they have participated as the away team.
