PITTSBURGH (KMOX) -- Coming off the bench as a pinch-hitter in the fifth inning, Albert Pujols cracked the 682nd home run of his career as the Cardinals took a 12-0 lead over the Pirates.
Coming out of the TV booth to join our radio crew, Dan McLaughlin was on the microphone for the historic call.

With Peacock (NBC Sports app) streaming the game on Sunday morning, John Rooney and Ricky Horton welcomed McLaughlin, the play-by-play voice of Bally Sports Midwest, to the KMOX booth for some entertaining and informative banter throughout the broadcast between the three announcers.
After calling RBI hits by Juan Yepez, Corey Dickerson and Andrew Knizner in the fourth inning, McLaughlin stayed on the call in the fifth when Pujols stepped in against Pirates reliever Chase De Jong.

Pujols, who is now 18 home runs away from 700, hit his 31st career home run at PNC Park.
