"It's just one of the best probably awards that I have in my trophy case now, because it's about using this platform that God has given you to give back."
That's Albert Pujols talking about being the recipient of the Muhammad Ali Sports Humanitarian Award. He talked with KMOX's Tom Ackerman on "5 Minutes with No. 5" about accepting the award.
Pujols said he's proud of the work his foundation has done, and that he was humbled to be nominated and to win.
"To look back and to see Muhammad Ali, who he was -- not just the athlete, but the person that he was -- and always wanted to make a difference in that community, and make a change to make people better. That says everything there," Pujols said.
