Cardinals fan believes her granddaughter's PB&J toy is influencing winning streak

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - If there's anything we learned from the baseball classic "Bull Durham" it's that you never mess* with a winning streak. Well, one St. Louis Cardinals fans isn't taking any chances of snapping the current 17-game streak.

She has been holding a toy PB&J sandwich, which she believes is helping the Cardinals win.

Rena Caradonna tells Fox 2 she's the No. 1 Cardinals fan there is (maybe it's a 3,000,000-person tie for first). One night during a game her 6-year-old granddaughter handed her the toy and wouldn't you know it, the Cardinals won. The next night, she was handed the toy again – and the Cards won again.

And they haven't lost since Caradonna began holding that toy during games.

She a cancer survivor and says it's her dream to meet Yadier Molina and the players.
