ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - Tuesday was a very busy day for the St. Louis Cardinals, who announced a flurry of moves regarding the coaching staff and front office.
On the coaching staff, the Cardinals officially announced the addition of Jon Jay as a coach and also announced that former Seattle Mariners bench coach and offensive coordinator Brant Brown will become the Cardinals new hitting coach.
On the front office side, Cardinals Hall of Famer Willie McGee will transition from the coaching staff to a new role as special assistant to the president of baseball operations and the Cardinals also announced that Rob Cerfolio, who served as the Cleveland Guardians Director of Player Development from 2022-2024, will oversee the Cardinals player development.
