ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - The voice you're hearing in the audio above is one St. Louis Cardinals fans should really get used. It's Oliver "Oli" Marmol and he's expected to be named the team's new manager on Monday.
KMOX will carry that press 10 a.m. conference live

In this interview from June 26, he talks to KMOX's Mike Claiborne about his role as bench coach under then-manager Mike Shildt. Some on social media have accused the Cardinals of hiring a "yes man" – someone who will unquestionable follow what the front office is telling them to do.
As he told us earlier this season, that's not how he operates.
"Even if I agree with certain things, there's times when I just take the opposite view and just challenge and make sure we're thinking through it really," Marmol said in that June interview. "That's one thing we take pride in. Is making sure that something doesn't go unnoticed, or unthought of. Whether that's in-game, strategy before the game, there's a lot of different things that come up through the course of the day."
In the 10 a.m. press conference Monday, Marmol is expected to be named the 51st manager of the Cardinals. He will also become the youngest current manger in baseball. At 35, the next-closest is five years older than him.
The Orlando-native was drafted by St. Louis in 2007 out of the College of Charleston – the man who scouted him was Shildt. Both made similar rises through the Cardinals ranks, including a promotion from bench coach to manager.
