
After Miles Mikolas pitched an almost no-hitter on Tuesday night, he thanked Cardinals manager Oliver Marmol for the opportunity he’s had on the team.

“It was a cool moment,” Marmol said on Total Information AM. “Man, everybody in that dugout obviously wanted that for him.”
Marmol said the game was full of anticipation and excitement as he watched Mikolas.
“Once you get rolling and you see how his stuff’s coming down and you get into that sixth inning or so you start kind of thinking about, ‘Alright, you've got X amount of pitches to work with, this is possible,’” he said. “You start getting excited, pitch to pitch, out to out for him.”
