New St. Louis SC President/General Manager Diego Gigliani joined Total Information A.M. Tuesday to discuss his career in the City Football Group and along with his decision and goals for St. Louis City S.C.

Gigliani was officially introduced to local reporters Monday and will work alongside City co-owner and CEO Carolyn Kindle on the business side and sporting director Lutz Pfannenstiel.

"(Pfannenstiel) is the one responsible for the sporting side and he has that key football technical view," Gigliani said, "I'll partner with him and we will look to (Kindle) and the Board for all key approvals to be able to make sure we are making the right decisions and managing that part of business. It still needs to be managed with many people and departments in the sporting area and we need to make sure they are running professionally as well."

Kindle was previously served as both CEO and president but will hand the role of president to Gigliani.

Gigliani has spent the last 10 years working in the City Football Group, where alongside working an executive with European and English Premier League powerhouse Manchester City, he has also been a managing director for other teams under the City Football Group umbrella, which also includes La Liga squad Girona F.C., French Ligue 2 side Troyes, who were relegated from Ligue 1 last season, and fellow MLS squad New York City F.C.

Gigliani says he is excited to live in the Midwest for the first time in his life.

"I spent 15 years living on and off in the United States since I was 3, always on the East Coast," Gigliani said, "This will be my first time living in the Midwest so I'm excited for that and can't wait to bring the family over."
