The St. Louis-based health insurance company has called St. Louis home for its global headquarters for decades. It already has a large footprint on professional sports in the city. Its name is on the St. Louis Blues new practice facility in Maryland Heights – Centene Community Ice Center – and the company is a partner of the St. Louis Cardinals.

Centene is also already involved with MLS, as a sponsor of Charlotte FC where the company has its East Coast headquarters.

CITY will begin play in the MLS in 2023.
