ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - St. Louis City SC announced Tuesday they have signed Norwegian-American right-back Tomas Totland to a three-year deal with a club option for 2027.

Totland will come from BK Häcken, with the Swedish First Division club receiving an undisclosed transfer fee.

Totland, 24, has spent the last two seasons with BK Häcken after spending most of his career in Norway.

During the 24-year-old right back time in Sweden, he played 60 matches across all competitions scoring one goal and seven assists for Häcken. He helped Häcken win its first ever league title and third ever domestic cup title.

Totland also has European competition experience, playing in the Europa League, Europa League qualifiers and Champions League qualifiers, amassing 10 appearances with one assist.

Häcken finished in the bottom of Group H in the Europa League, which included current Bundesliga frontrunner Bayer Leverkusen in it, coached by Liverpool, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich legend Xabi Alonso.
