ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - Washington University is set to host their ninth annual Olan Sports Business Summit on Friday, Nov. 10, which will feature speakers from all across the sports business landscape.

One of the speakers includes Andrew Kipper, the Senior Vice President for Excel Sports Management's Golf Division, whose clients include Justin Rose and Tiger Woods.

Kipper joined Total Information A.M. Tuesday to discuss the business side of sports, where he says it has changed tremendously - especially in golf where the situation continues to vary by the day.

"The landscape is very fluid right now and I kind of feel like I don't even know what tomorrow is gonna bring to be totally honest," said Kipper. "It's been changing a lot and it is changing in real time, especially with what's going on between the PGA tour and the various funding sources that are up for debate right now."

Kipper highlights Name, Image, Likeness,(NIL) and the impact it has as an example of the fluid situation on the sports business side currently.

"There are both some real benefits, and there's some real dangers and pitfalls," said Kipper. "The one thing that I have seen I do think is a real benefit is it's basically like a paid internship in some regards."

Kipper highlights a photo shoot he was at last year that alongside the professional golfers, featured two clients still in college and the impact of having those collegiate athletes be around the professionals.

"For them to get their feet wet and understand what those obligations are of a professional, what is expected of you when you show up to events like that, I just think it flattens the learning curve." said Kipper. "It educates these young athletes on what it means to be a professional."

The Olin Sports Business Summit will take place on Friday, Nov. 10th at 12:30-5:30 p.m.
