There's no excuse to be bored in the St. Louis area this weekend, especially as we near the holidays. Cat Neville from Explore St. Louis joined KMOX for her weekly roundup of the top five things to do in St. Louis over the weekend.
Big The Musical (12/15-12/17)
"Big" isn't your average youth production. Taking the stage at the Kirkwood Performing Arts Center, follow the story of an awkward kid who gets his wish granted to become an adult.
Cirque Dreams Holidaze (12/16-12/17)
Head to the Fox Theater to see a Broadway-style production complete with a cast of storybook characters and contemporary circus performers.
Jurassic World Live Tour (12/16-12/18)
Head to the Enterprise Center for this performance, which features more than 24 film-accurate and life-size dinosaurs. Plus, this show features live stunts, intricate scenery and projections and the classic Jurassic Park score.
12 Bars of Charity (12/17)
For this event, eight local charities are divided into teams and assigned a color. The largest charity team with the most sign-ups gets a $1,000 prize. At the event, you can go wherever you want. Participating bars include The Armory, Ballpark Village, Budweiser Brew House, El Burro Loco, Salt + Smoke, Sports & Social St. Louis, Tin Roof and The Over/Under Bar & Grill.
Winter Solstice Celebration (12/17)
Learn about holiday traditions from all different countries at the World Bird Sanctuary from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Plus, meet some of the birds, like bald eagles, peregrine falcons, barn owls and turkey vultures.
