ST. LOUIS (KMOX)- The St. Louis Circuit Attorney's Office has charged a 19-year-old man after he assaulted three people in the Central West End Sunday, including a baby.

Anthony McGee, 19, faces multiple counts of assault-- including two counts of fourth degree assault-- along with first degree kidnapping, first degree endangering the welfare of a child, armed criminal action and resisting arrest.

On Sunday, St. Louis City Police Department officers were called to the corner of North Euclid and West Pine at 8:48 a.m. after getting reports of a man assaulting two women and a baby.

According to the incident report by police, the male suspect approached three different victims and assaulted them. The man struck one person in the head with a glass bottle, then grabbed an infant so hard the baby's skin was red and swelling.

A third victim was "an elderly female." The suspect choked her and broke her arm.

All three were treated at a hospital. The man was arrested.

Andrew Caldwell, an employee of Audacy St. Louis, was a witness to the incident. He tells KMOX he could see and hear neighbors yelling at the suspect to stop hurting the elderly woman.

"It was really scary," Caldwell said. "I'm not going to walk in this area ever again."

Caldwell says he saw the suspect being taken away by police and believes it could a man he's seen walking the streets of the Central West End yelling random things into the air.

"Every morning on the weekends, he's screaming real loud."
