Former St. Louis Board of Alderman President Lewis Reed plead guilty on Friday to counts of bribery.
Lewis Reed admitted to accepting around $10,000 in bribes to help a businessman get city approval for tax abatements for a gas station.
Primary elections to replace Reed as Board President take place in September, and the special election takes place on election day November 8.
Former Aldermen John Collins-Muhammad and Jeffrey Boyd also plead guilty this week. The three aldermen could potentially get three to four years in prison when they are sentenced this December.
