A big papal appointment for St. Louis Archbishop Mitchell Rozanski.
Pope Leo the 14th has appointed St. Louis Archbishop Mitchell Rozanski to become a member of the Vatican's Dicastery for Interreligious Dialogue.
This appointment will not affect his duties in the St. Louis Archdiocese. He will remain here but will now take on some extra responsibilities helping the Vatican foster better relations and dialogue with people of other faiths.
The other members of the Dicastery include the Cardinals of Jerusalem, Tokyo, Tehran and Toronto.
Archbishop Rozanski is the only U.S. prelate on the panel.
Earlier this week, Pope Leo appointed St. Louis Auxiliary Bishop Mark Rivituso to become the new Archbishop of the Mobile, Alabama archdiocese.
