CHICAGO, IL (KMOX) - A set back for President Trump, as an The 7th Circuit Court of Appeals in Chicago blocks deploying the national guard in Illinois.

The ruling means that members of the National Guard in Illinois right now can remain federalized, however,  they cannot be deployed in Illinois.

The Trump Administration appealed a federal judge's Friday ruling to temporarily block the Guard in Illinois.

Hundreds of National Guard troops from Illinois and Texas had originally deployed to Illinois earlier this week at the direction of the Trump administration.

Governor J-B Pritzker and Oregon's governor have pushed back on the President and have on-going litigation.
