
ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department says they have arrested an armed man who was involved in a barricade situation with police on Tuesday afternoon.
St. Louis Metro Police district officers and SWAT responded to a barricade situation involving an armed person a residence on the 2800 block of Arsenal around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday.
St. Louis Police say after numerous attempts to contact the suspect, SWAT proceeded to enter the vacant home on the street and they were to find the suspect on the first floor. No officers were injured during the situation.
According to police, the suspect was wanted on felony assault charges.
St. Louis police says due to the situation, Arsenal and Juniata between Nebraska and Oregon and Nebraska between Gravois and Juniata was temporarily closed off Tuesday.
