ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - Charges have been filed in Thursday's double homicide in south St. Louis, which involved the strangling of a 3-year-old girl.

Fifty-five-year-old Henry Hughes is facing 2 counts of first-degree murder, plus burglary and robbery.

Prosecutors say Hughes followed 60-year-old Tommy Williams into his home on Pennsylvania Avenue, and shot him in the basement. Then he went upstairs and killed 3-year-old Octavia Williams.

Court documents indicate Hughes admitted to shooting the man and taking his car keys. Police found a gun in a closet of the suspect's home.
