ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - At least 25 cars broken in to during Sunday's Cardinals game. And that number could rise once police reports are completed.
For years, the City has struggled with cars being broken in to during sporting events. Last year, then Alderman James Page introduced legislation mandating parking lots provide better lighting, fencing and have attendants present for duration of events. But that bill died in committee.
St. Louis Police tell KMOX, the car break-ins happened on Downtown parking lots and streets in the 4-and 7-hundred blocks of Clark and along South Broadway by Bush Stadium.
Some of the items stolen included wallets and purses.
