Baker faces assault and interference with custody charges.

Investigators say Baker was visiting her two children at a St. Charles County library branch, when she assaulted a caseworker and fled with Piper Monday afternoon.

In a statement on Facebook, Prosecuting Attorney Tim Lohmar says the girl is being reunited with her grandparents. Lohmar calls Baker's disregard for the safety and well-being of her daughter 'despicable'.

Lohmar offered thanks to the thousands of citizens who shared social media posts in an effort to find the girl.

There is currently no information on where the child and mother were located, but last reports were Baker's car was seen near Utah. Tuesday, St. Charles County Prosecutor Tim Lohmar charged Baker with Interference with Custody and Assault 4th degree, but said the investigation was ongoing.
