The primary elections are coming up in less than a week, and the latest polling for U.S. Senate by Emerson College has a tight race on the Democratic side.
Beer heiress Trudy Busch Valentine has taken a slight lead over former Marine Lucas Kunce, 39 to 34%. Emerson found Kunce is strongly favored by voters under 30 years old, while Valentine is the top choice of African-Americans.
The nomination is still up for grabs, with 22% undecided in the survey completed last weekend.
On the Republican side, Emerson shows a 12-point lead for Attorney General Eric Schmitt with 33% of the vote. Schmitt is followed by Vicky Hartzler, and behind her is Eric Greitens, with 16%.
