
ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - A multi-car crash following a Drake Concert in St. Louis overnight Wednesday left a Chicago mother and daughter duo dead.
According to St. Louis Metropolitan Police incident report, just after midnight Wednesday morning, a 2020 Jeep Cherokee was travelling eastbound on Olive at high rates of speed from Compton, passing through multiple red lights.
The Jeep would hit two victims, who were walking north across Olive within the east crosswalk, after a collision with a 2017 Mitsubishi Outlander, which was carrying a woman with her two teenage daughters.
Both pedestrians were thrown to the north sidewalk of Olive. The mother was pronounced dead at the scene, while daughter was transported to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
The driver of the Jeep, a 22-year-old man, would continue on, then hit a 2015 Mazda CX-5 in a T-bone collision.
The driver of the Jeep, was transported to the hospital, and is critical, but stable condition.
The woman driving the Mitsubishi was uninjured but her two teenage daughters, along with the driver of the Mazda, all suffered minor injuries.
Police has not yet released the names of the victims.
Accident Reconstruction is handling the ongoing investigation.
