The Texas-based travel center will be located at 3284 Mulroy Road, and it'll occupy 53,000 square feet with 120 fueling positions, according to a press release. It also boasts thousands of options for snacks, meals and drinks, including Texas barbeque, homemade fudge, kolaches and more.

The groundbreaking is set for Tuesday, August 23. The company says the new location will provide 200 new full-time jobs to the area, with starting salaries "beginning well above minimum wage."

Buc-ee's has been a staple in the South, and is now expanding to the West, starting out in Missouri and to Colorado. Spokespeople for the company say Springfield is a natural choice as it's the "birthplace of Route 66."
