Counterfeit suspect captured

CLAYTON, Mo. (KMOX) - An Olive Hill, Kentucky man's in trouble for passing counterfeit checks in St. Louis County.

Police say they arrested Mark Buckler on June 14th after he tried to get cash from the Commerce Bank in Breckenridge Hills.

He had attempted a similar scam earlier that day in Affton.

Investigators have also linked the 53-year-old Buckler to bogus checks passed May 31st at Commerce Bank locations in Kirkwood, Eureka, and Fenton.

Buckler admitted another person sent him the counterfeit checks and fake ID's to use. He agreed to keep 20-percent of the cash and send the rest to his supplier.
