Severe Storms cause power outages and damage in the Bi-State but no injuries reported

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - Ameren Missouri reports nearly 15-thousand customers are still without service this morning The majority of outages were in Festus, Jefferson, Mehville and parts of West and North County. At the height of the storm, nearly 32-thousand were in the dark

There's no estimate on restoration times, as crews started surveying the damage late last night once the storms moved out.

As storms ripped through the Bi-state Saturday evening, several areas reported damage. At least one business in Sullivan had its roof ripped off, Ballwin, Shrewsbury all reported wind damage and power outages.

In Hecker Illinois, there was significant damage, including power lines being downed. But there were no reports of injuries in Missouri or Illinois.

MetroLink service was restored to the Fairview Heights, Memorial Hospital, Swansea, Belleville and College MetroLink Stations last night.

Bus shuttles were continuing to transport riders between the College and Shiloh-Scott MetroLink Stations. MetroLink passengers may experience 15-30 minute delays until further notice. So far this morning, there have not been any updates from Metro.

Despite a more than two hour delay, St. Louis City S-C took to the pitch at 9:49 last night and ended up winning over F-C Cincinnati 5 to 1.

City Park had a shelter in place plan ready to go as the storms moved in. KMOX's Tom Ackerman was there and says fans were taken into the concourse to shelter from the storm.
