A downtown dragnet put a stop to a fireworks war. That's when folks meet up and shoot fireworks at each other.

An officer was hit by a firework and had minor injuries.

In total, 86 were taken into custody over the weekend, most related to fireworks.

Fifty-eight of those arrested were juveniles, the youngest being 12 years old, and a 13-year-old who police say had a gun.

Since July 3rd, 60 firearms have been confiscated by city police and sent to the crime lab. The department says when parents were reunited with their kids in cuffs, they were given citations for their kids' actions.
