Last week, the CEO of Konnech, a company that provides software for poll workers, was arrested after a supposed data breach. The information of some Los Angeles poll workers was found on a computer server in China.

St. Louis City and County both use Konnech software for elections, using it to help train and schedule election workers. After the CEO's arrest, St. Louis County reports that they have been "working to learn the extent of the alleged data breach."

The City and County have both removed Konnech from their website since the story broke, and it will no longer be used to register poll workers for the November midterm elections.

Both the City and County told KMOX that there has been no indication that the personal information of St. Louis poll workers -- including names, addresses, and social security numbers -- have been shared with China.

St. Louis County's election board clarified that the Konnech software does not in any way interact with voting equipment or registration.
