ST. LOUIS (KMOX)--A Battlehawks super fan named "Excaliburd" wants fans to show up to the United Football League Championship at the Dome on Sunday (6/16) even though the game lacks a St. Louis team. The self-proclaimed Battlehawks mascot is at every home game wielding a sword while clad in a suit of leather armor donning blue feathers.
"I will absolutely be there one hundred percent," said Excaliburd. "We're going to be on the stage for all the see and if there's not a whole lot of fans in the stands what does that say about us?"
The Battlehawks lost in the XFL Conference Championship to the San Antonio Brahmas at the Dome on June 9th. San Antonio (8-3) will play the Birmingham Stallions (10-1). The only team to beat Birmingham this season was San Antonio.
"I intend on supporting our league and representing the Battlehawks in full attire," Excaliburd said, "I implore everyone to be there. Lets show that St. Louis has the best sports fans on this grandest of stage."
Ticketmaster has tickets under $10 for the UFL Championship.
