
Undated (KMOX) - The federal government's FAFSA website is used by families of students entering college, as a way of calculating financial need.
Some took to the social media platform X on Sunday and Monday to express frustration with the roll-out of the 2024-2025 form.
As a response, FAFSA officials said it is just a soft launch right now, and there may be pause periods where data cannot be accepted.
They said information will not be submitted to schools, states, or scholarship organizations until the end of January, so there's no rush to complete the FAFSA form.
They say leading up to, and as part of the launch process they have identified some minor issues affecting user experiences. Work is being done during the so-called pauses to resolve issues.
They say if you encounter a pause while entering your data, check back later to try again.
