ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - A FedEx driver was carjacked in north St. Louis in broad daylight and the truck was later found ransacked, police say.

The incident happened around 11 a.m. Tuesday in a residential neighborhood near the 3100 block of North Grand. The 32-year-old driver told police he was returning to his vehicle after dropping off some packages when he felt what he believed to be a gun sticking in his back.

Police say the victim dropped the keys, then the suspect picked them up and drove off in the FedEx truck.

The truck was found later just a few blocks away near the intersection of Greer and Elliot Avenues. Police say the truck had been ransacked, but officers aren't sure if any packages were taken.

No injuries were reported and investigation is underway.
