HERMAN, MO (KMOX) - Some twenty different Missouri fire departments provided mutual assistance for a four alarm fire at the Wenwood Winery in Hermanc Missouri.
The Owensville Fire Department posted on Facebook, the fire broke out Saturday night and quickly grew to four alarms. Firefighters remained on the scene into Sunday battling the blaze and extremely cold weather conditions.
There were no reports of injuries, but the building in the 24-hundred block of Highway K is considered a total loss. The Missouri Fire Marshall is investigating the cause.

Owensville Fire Has Released Information ON Wenwood Winery Fire
Official Release:
OFPD was dispatched by Gasconade County E-911 at 0120hrs this morning for a commercial structure fire at the Wenwood Winery located at 2441 Hwy K in Bay. Fire was automatically upgraded to a 2nd alarm due to the extreme cold.
Crews arrived on scene within 20mins of dispatched to find a large 15,000sq ft 2 story commercial building 50% involved. At this time the call was upgraded to a 3rd alarm.
Crews deployed multiple porta tanks in front of the building and also behind the building. Crews deployed multiple hand lines.
Due to the extreme cold conditions and travel time to the closest reliable fire hydrant, the call was upgraded to a 4th alarm.
Fire was brought under control at 0356hrs. Crews remained on scene until almost 0700hrs.
Building is considered a total loss. No occupants were in the building at the time of the fire.
Fire is being investigated by the MO State Fire Marshals Office.

Early this morning, Wenwood Bay Winery & Restaurant experienced a devastating fire resulting in a complete loss of the building.
We are incredibly thankful that everyone is safe, and we extend our deepest gratitude to the firefighters and first responders for their efforts, as well as to our community for the overwhelming support and kindness shown.
While this loss is heartbreaking, we are committed to rebuilding and will begin that process as soon as possible. Wenwood Bay Winery & Restaurant will return — stronger and better than ever.
