
Tucker Carlson has parted ways with Fox News.
In a statement issued Monday, Fox News called move a mutual decision.
"Fox News Media and Tucker Carlson have agreed to part ways," the statement said. "We thank him for his service to the network as a host and prior to that as a contributor."
The network did not elaborate or offer a reason for the decision.
The statement went on to say Carlson's last program was Friday, April 21. The network said "Fox News Tonight" will continue to air live at 8 p.m. as an interim show helmed by rotating Fox News personalities until a new host is named.
Carlson, who joined the network in 2009 as a contributor, has not yet commented on the situation.
