ST. LOUIS - The Missouri History Museum is set to host a new free event on Thursday night titled STL Murals.

Emily Jaycox, the Missouri History Museum Librarian, and artist Robert Fishbone join Total Information A.M. in studio Tuesday to discuss the History Museum event, along with St. Louis's mural history.

According to Jaycox, for the first hour, they will do a 'Happy Hour' that will include refreshments along with fun activities throughout the event with attendees also encourages to take a look at the Museum's exhibit 'Color STL' which discusses St. Louis's history through architecture.

Fishbone says that the timing couldn't have been perfect as murals have seen a resurgence in the community.

"There is a huge resurgence going on," Fishbone said, "If you Google murals, you'll be there all day. There's thousands all over the country. Small cities and towns are finding out more and more that having a murals collection can become an asset and a tourist attraction."

Fishbone, who been a mural artist for 50 years, cites a event he did in Highland, Illinois where he helped build up 'a gallery of outdoor artwork'
