When Princess Stormm became a mom, she told herself that she would give back to the community. The Hot 104.1 radio host is now hosting a diaper drive in honor of National Diaper Need Awareness Week.

"I had a lot of help in the community when I was pregnant. You know, being a woman in the media industry or entertainment industry is hard," she said. "Now, once I started to talk to my listeners, they're like, 'Yo, I need help with diapers.' And I'm like, 'Okay, I'll buy you some diapers.'"

So last year, she teamed up with a friend who worked at the St. Louis Diaper Bank and they held their first annual diaper drive.

"Sometimes parents need diapers for about three years. They don't tell you the glitz and glamour about that," she said. "You know, when you're pregnant, they say, 'Have a baby shower, yay mom,' and then you get home and you gotta buy diapers for three and a half years."

Princess Stormm told KMOX that she heard from listeners who said diapers were really expenseive, and they always needed them. It can be a big burden on families.

That's why she's aiming to raise 50,000 diapers so that the diaper banks can stay open and help families in need.

To make a donation, head to hot1041stl.com or drop off diapers at the St. Louis Diaper Bank at 6141 Etzel Avenue. Drop off diapers of any size, any brand, and say it's on behalf of Princess Stormm.
