Judge Michael Noble ruled that there is evidence that St. Louis Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner and her deputy, Chris Desilets, may be guilty of indirect criminal contempt after they failed to show up to court twice for a hearing.
Judge Noble said Gardner's office "appears to be a rudderless ship of chaos."
He added, "It appears that Ms. Gardner has complete indifference and a conscious disregard for the judicial process."
Procedures for the hearing are scheduled for May 30. A special prosecutor will be appointed for the mater.
