She's out again — officially, this time.
GOP nominee for St. Louis County Executive Katherine Pinner has officially had her name removed from the November ballot, less than a week after saying she'd stay in the race. She was in court Friday morning to make her withdrawal final.
Pinner had promised to run an under-the-radar campaign against incumbent Democrat Sam Page with no fundraising or marketing.
She first decided to drop out, then stay in, and now she's out of the race. Pinner said, in part, "traditional campaigning and financing do not correspond to my core values."
Pinner beat out conservative Shamed Dogan in the August primary election, a surprise victory since Pinner had done little campaigning and collected no contributions to her campaign. It was her first time running for office.
