COLLEGE HILL, MO (KMOX)--The brick wall surrounding the landmark Kulage House has been hit at least 4 times in the last 10 years. Owner Katherine Goins, 83, has lived in the house for 51 years. She fears losing her insurance because uninsured reckless drivers keep running into her brick wall that is original to the house built in 1876.
On March 4th, two uninsured drivers smashed cars into each other and into the wall shifting and breaking up the brick column at the corner of East College and Conde. Four boys ran from the crash all holding big guns and wearing masks. Police found purses and shoes that were likely stolen in the car.

"I have insurance but my insurance deductible is higher than the cost of the damage," Katherine Goins said. "It will have to come out of my pocket. And I have a lot for premiums. Don't miss a day."
In 2015, a woman smashed her car into her brick wall and said she couldn't pay because she didn't have insurance. That time the wall cost about $5000 to repair. Carmon Gamble, Katherine's daughter, who lives across the street, started Go Fund Me page to help pay the damages for the same amount.

"If insurance drops them and there is a catastrophic event on their homes, like a fire, they can't get it replaced," Gamble said speaking about her mother's home and neighbors in College Hill who have also had reckless drivers running into their property. "They'll lose their homes. Now, you have a homeless individual."
