ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg will visit the Metro East Monday to highlight major infrastructure investments and announce new funding.
Buttigieg will be joined by U-S Senator Dick Durbin, Congesswoman Nikki Budzinski and And Illinois Transportation Secretary Omer Osman.
They will unveil over 22-million-dollars in a grant made possible by President Biden's Bi-Partisan Infrastructure law to help remove a railroad crossing that causes significant delays to get to and from work and school.
The leaders will tour the MetroLink Light rail Management Facility.
