ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - There may be a problem with your solar eclipse glasses after St. Louis area stores announce recalls.

Several local stores have recalled glasses advertised as "safe" for viewing Monday's solar eclipse. They include SAVE-A-LOT stories in St. Clair, Cedar Hill, Ste. Gene and Pevely.

All Karsch’s Village Markets have also recalled their glasses, and all Straub’s locations. Area stores posted on Facebook to announce the recalls.

If you have a dash 12312-1 model, they have been recalled because they are not safe for looking directly at the sun.

There's a logo to look for to make sure you have the right ones.

The American Astronomical Society says your eclipse glasses should be ISO certified with the number 12312-2.

No matter where you purchased your glasses, check that they are damage-free and ISO certified with the number 12312-2.
