ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - Longtime St. Louis residents will know the name Randi Naughton.

Naughton worked for Fox 2 News for 30 years, first as a weekend reporter doing Sunday morning segments called "Randi 'Round Town". During her three decade tenure at Fox 2, she anchored shows, covered sports, interviewing all the great St. Louis athletes, reporting on NFL sidelines, MLB dugouts and countless others.

Her longtime -and most famous- role at the station was anchoring the morning show alongside John Pertzborn every weekday morning at Fox 2. She and Pertzborn had a partnership at the show that lasted over 23 years.

Naughton time with FOX 2 came to an end in July 2022, when she decided to retire from anchoring at the station, citing her chance to finally "sleep past the middle of the night o'clock."

Since her retirement, she has down some voiceover work, doing voiceovers for a few commercials and phone systems, but she felt like she couldn't stay in retirement any longer.

Now she is back, but in a different media space. Naughton now is entering the podcast space with her podcast More to Say with Randi Naughton. The first two episodes of the podcast came out this week, with legendary broadcaster Bob Costas one of her first guests to appear on it.

Naughton joined KMOX's Megan Lynch and Tom Ackerman on Total Information A.M. Thursday to discuss the podcast and why she couldn't stay in retirement any longer.
