ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - The Major Case Squad has arrested a person in connection with the death of a 64-year old woman in Sunset Hills.
Yesterday, (Thursday) Sunset Hills Police received a call for a welfare check at a home in the 11-thousand block of Sunlind Drive. They found Melissa Anderson deceased in the basement with significant injuries to her head and upper torso.
30-year old Joseph Marino is charged with First Degree Murder and Tampering with Evidence. Marino was the ex-boyfriend if Anderson. Marino is being held on a 1-million dollar cash only bond.
The Major Case Squad handled the investigation and will remain active for the next several days.
