ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - The man who walked into St. Louis police headquarters Friday morning and told officers he had just murdered someone in a nearby apartment building has been charged with the killing.
Forty-year-old old Mario Wade is charged with first-degree murder and armed criminal action.
His alleged victim, a 59 year old woman, was found beaten to death in their unit in the Phyllis Wheatley apartments at Beaumont and Locust.
Police had not released the victim's identity as of Sunday evening.
