St. Louis County has charged a man with three felonies in connection with the burglary of Yeti Gaming in Crestwood.

The Crestwood Police Department reported that on October 10, 2021, someone smashed Yeti Gaming's windows and shattered display cases, causing about $2,000 in damage. The suspect also stole approximately $12,000 in Pokemon cards and other merchandise.

St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney Wesley Bell said, "Pokemon cards may seem like a trivial target, but there is nothing trivial about charges like burglary and felony theft. We will not tolerate smash-and-grab in St. Louis County."

The defendant, Nicholas Garrison of Tulsa, Oklahoma, later admitted to entering the store without permission and taking merchandise because he needed the money.
