A man is jailed in Saint Charles County on $2 million cash bond, accused of killing his sister and shooting his estranged girlfriend in the face, because he said they were talking about him.
St. Charles Police say 29-year-old Trae Spratt told investigators he fired the shots Saturday afternoon while he was moving out of an apartment on Ameristar Boulevard.
Police lieutenant Tom Wilkison tells KMOX News Spratt's girlfriend's children, ages six and eight, were found unharmed at the scene. They have been placed with a family member.
The boys' mother, only identified as a 32-year-old St. Charles woman, is expected to survive.
On Sunday, police identified the deceased as 37-year-old Tracy Bradford of St. Louis.
Trae Spratt faces murder, armed criminal action, and child endangerment charges.
