ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - One of the most intriguing races heading into Tuesday's Primary elections was who could become the Republican Party nominee for Missouri Governor, with Missouri Lt. Gov. Mike Kehoe, Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft, and Missouri State Sen. Bill Eigel all headed into Tuesday pretty neck and neck in the polls.

In the end, Kehoe emerged victorious, receiving 39.4% of the vote in the GOP primary to become the party's nominee for Missouri Governor. Kehoe will face Democratic nominee Crystal Quade in November's gubernatorial race.

Kehoe, who received the endorsement of Missouri Gov. Mike Parson and others, ran a pretty grounded campaign compared to his opponents, with some of them having fiery messages, sometimes quite literally.

Kehoe joined "The Chris and Amy Show" Wednesday to discuss his victory and his grounded campaign approach and talked a variety of topics from how he plans to fix crime in St. Louis, and to giving his thoughts on healthcare in rural Missouri.
