SAINT LOUIS, MO (KMOX) - Crime Stoppers is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of in the death of Daisa Allen, a young mother who went to buy diapers March 30th from her north St. Louis home on Rivertrail Court, but never returned. Her body was found over the weekend.
Searchers discovered Allen's body just before six o'clock Saturday night in a heavily wooded area off Riverview at Scranton Avenue. St. Louis Police Chief John Hayden was on the scene. "The police department along with her family have been looking for her all week. Unfortunately, she has been discovered deceased," says Hayden. "I'm certainly asking for the community to involve themselves in the investigation. This was an active missing investigation, now it's an active homicide investigation."
Allen's car was found burned at an abandoned house in Baden days after she was reported missing. Neighbors reported hearing gun shots before seeing someone set her car on fire.
