On Thursday, central Missouri could face heavy rain and even the threat of severe weather according to AccuWeather forecasters.
Plus, meteorologists say the frequent rounds of rain throughout the Midwest have the ground saturated. Small streams have risen in many parts of Missouri. AccuWeather says 1-3 inches of rain has fallen on parts Missouri, Kansas, and Arkansas since this past weekend.
Brian Thompson tells KMOX it's going to be a very wet morning with heavy rain coming through. We could see up to an inch. Expect things to dry up a little over the midday, but then Thompson warns we could see some isolated severe storms Thursday night.
